Website Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 21, 2026

This policy explains what information we collect when you visit thewomensgroup.org, how we use it, and what choices you have.

This is not our Notice of Privacy Practices

This policy covers information collected through our website — things like your IP address, which pages you view, and anything you  ype into our contact form.

It is a different document from our Notice of Privacy Practices, which
explains how we may use and disclose your protected health information as a healthcare provider under HIPAA. If you are looking for that, it is at [/notice-of-privacy-practices/].

Who we are

The Women's Group
2114 Airport Boulevard, Suite 1000
Pensacola, FL 32504
850-476-3696

What we collect

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our web server records basic technical information
each time a page is requested. This includes your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, the page you requested, the page you came from if any, and the date and time.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies only where they are necessary for the site to work, and to remember your cookie preferences. We do not use advertising cookies, and
we do not run analytics such as Google Analytics or advertising pixels such as the Meta Pixel on this site.

When you respond to our cookie banner, we record your choice, the date and time, and the version of the notice you were shown.

Information you give us

If you use our contact form, we collect what you type into it — typically your name, email address, phone number, and your message.

Our contact form is for general enquiries only. Please do not use it to send health information or describe symptoms. For anything clinical, call us or use the patient portal.

Information collected by third parties on our pages

Some parts of our site load content from other companies, and those
companies receive your IP address as a result:

  • Google Fonts, which supplies the typefaces used on the site
  • Google Maps, which provides the map on our Contact page
  • Cloudflare, which helps protect the site from malicious traffic
  • AllAccessible, which provides the accessibility toolbar

These providers may collect technical information under their own privacy policies. We do not control what they collect.

What we do not do

We do not sell your personal information.

We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.

We do not use it for advertising or behavioural targeting.

We do not run analytics or tracking software on this website.

How we use information

We use the information described above to:

- Deliver the website and keep it working correctly
- Protect the site against fraud, abuse, and security threats
- Respond to enquiries you send us
- Record and honour your cookie preferences
- Meet our legal and regulatory obligations

How we share information

We share information only with:

  • Service providers who help us operate the website, and only to the extent needed to do that work. This includes our web host and the providers listed above.
  • Others, when we are required to by law, court order, or a lawful government request, or where necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of our patients, our staff, or the public.

If you follow a link from our site to our patient portal or appointment
scheduling, both provided by athenahealth, you leave our website, and athenahealth's own privacy terms apply from that point.

How long we keep information

Cookie consent records: 13 months.

Contact form messages: kept in the receiving mailbox in line with our
internal retention practices.

We keep information no longer than we need it for the purpose it was
collected, or as required by law.

How we protect information

The website is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection. We rely on our hosting provider's physical, technical, and administrative safeguards, and we limit access to information to staff who need it.

No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. This is why we ask you not to send health information through the website.

Your choices and rights

Cookies. You can change or withdraw your cookie consent at any time using the cookie settings button on any page, or by clearing cookies in your browser.

Contact preferences. You can ask us to stop contacting you at any time by calling 850-476-3696.

Access, correction, and deletion. You may ask us what website information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, or ask us to delete it. Contact us using the details below and we will respond as
promptly as we reasonably can.

Rights regarding your health records are handled separately, under our Notice of Privacy Practices, and are not affected by this policy.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy law. If you believe you do, contact us and we will work with you in good faith.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

Some browsers can send a "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control signal.

Because we do not track visitors across websites and do not sell personal information, these signals do not change how the site behaves.

Children's privacy

This website is intended for adults. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us information through this website, contact us and we will delete it.

Links to other websites

Our site links to websites we do not operate, including our patient portal
and scheduling. We are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any site you visit.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top. Material changes will be noted on this page.
