Why is prenatal care important?

Prenatal care ensures the mother and the baby are healthy throughout the pregnancy. During the course of prenatal care, our staff looks for possible complications, developmental concerns, and any other issues that may require intervention.

What services are available during pregnancy?

During pregnancy, our team at The Women's Group schedules regular prenatal visits for the mother-to-be, including standard ultrasounds. When it comes time to deliver the baby, our doctors also provide support and medical care during labor and delivery.

In addition to providing standard prenatal care, our team coordinates with some of the best specialists in the area to provide care to women experiencing high-risk pregnancies.

What’s an OB ultrasound?

An OB ultrasound is an imaging technique used to assess the health of the mother and baby during pregnancy. It measures the baby's growth and development by examining different parts of the body. The sonographer then uses the data to prepare a report on the baby's well-being.

Is postpartum care available?

The Women's Group proudly provides care to mothers throughout the pregnancy, during delivery, and in the postpartum period. Our experienced team has many years of experience in prenatal and postpartum care. In fact, some of the mothers-to-be we care for today were once patients delivered by our own team.

When should a patient schedule prenatal care?

The Women's Group encourages patients to call and schedule their first prenatal visit as soon as they have a positive home pregnancy test, even though the visit itself is typically scheduled when the patient is between 6 and 9 weeks pregnant. Scheduling early ensures you have a spot reserved and gives our team the opportunity to answer any early questions or concerns you may have. Our providers want to help every patient as early as possible in their pregnancy journey, offering guidance and support from the very first trimester through delivery and beyond.
